Your SpiderPro Insert and your SpiderPro Pins are made out of stainless steel. They are extremely durable and will last for a long time. These replaceable parts will wear depending on the amount of use.
In order to maintain the longest life of both the Insert and your Pins, we recommend using a "dry" lubricant such as a drop of hot candle wax, or Clean Ride™. See picture below.
Please also make sure to visually inspect the ball head of your SpiderPro Pins once a month, clean any dirt from your Pins, and check for signs of wear. Replace your Pins if their ball shape becomes deformed.
